Staff :

Estimated annual base pay : $114,400 (minimum) - $143,000 (midpoint) - $171,600 (maximum)

Senior Staff :

Estimated annual base pay : $131,600 (minimum) - $164,500 (midpoint) - $197,400 (maximum)

The Staff / Senior Staff Mechanical Engineer reports to the Engineering Leader and is responsible for complex product / system design, mentoring, driving process improvements, strategic planning and presentations. This position provides new intellectual property to the organization, as well as technical leadership to the enterprise. The Senior Staff Engineer provides leadership in the development of industry standards and has a high level of industry / Customer contact and industry awareness. This position participates in enterprise negotiation as well as providing technical evaluation of new opportunities within the PLC process. The Senior Staff Engineer develops roadmaps and sets technical strategies and direction, and has a strong relationship with Customer, Supplier, individuals and organizations on a systems / standards basis.

What you will be doing...

Manage all aspects of complex engineering projects, including project management, problem-solving, and team communication.

Drive company-wide process improvements and lead efforts in specific product development areas.

Solve challenging engineering problems involving conflicting design requirements, non-standard materials, and complex coordination.

Provide technical support to sales and development through proposals, design reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Troubleshoot and analyze system problems using advanced simulations and perform complex component testing.

Lead project teams by estimating manpower needs, setting schedules, and ensuring deadlines are met.

Communicate effectively through expert-level writing, presentations, and representation at industry events.

Apply strong problem-solving skills and technical expertise to components, subsystems, and manufacturing processes.

Foster collaboration within cross-functional teams, set technical direction, and align activities with business objectives.

Leverage recognized expertise to drive strategic planning and balance activities for significant financial impact.

What we are looking for...

Staff :

Bachelor's Degree in Arts / Sciences (BA / BS)

Greater than 8 years' experience in related field, including post-graduate experience

Senior Staff :

Bachelor's Degree in Arts / Sciences (BA / BS)

Greater than 12 years in related field required, including post-graduate experience.
