Job description

Field Service Technician (Apprentice)

A Full-time Entry Level Field Service Technician Apprentice position is immediately available with on-the-job training for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate is team-oriented, customer service focused and adapts to overcome challenges.  The position demands a high level of competency for on-site productivity and communications throughout installation / maintenance projects in hospitals and medical office buildings. Multi-day remote water conservation surveys, flow control device installations or re-occurring maintenance for existing customers, and materials management will be required.

Job / Project Responsibilities :

  • Performs installation and maintenance services alongside a team of technicians.
  • Follows all hospital rules of etiquette, health, and safety.
  • Organizes and maintains tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Assists with startup and closeout of projects.
  • Documents daily maintenance tasks in the WSS FixtureCare App.
  • Communicates red flags and concerns to the team lead.
  • Adapts to project variations as needed.
  • Assists in keeping record of materials, including inventory and prepared materials, with communication to appropriate project manager and team lead.
  • Delivers updated personal medical records to the office manager, as needed, to comply with badging and immunization requirements for working within hospitals.
  • Available to work flexible hours including occasional Saturdays and evenings.

    • Requirements :

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Mechanical aptitude and adaptable to changing conditions.
  • Willingness to work with hands and basic plumbing tools.
  • Effective written email and verbal communication.
  • Working knowledge of computer and device applications.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to walk for long periods and carry loads up to 40 lbs., while bending or stooping.
  • Paid travel and overnight stay with per diem compensation.
  • Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license.
  • Background check and drug screening evaluation.
  • Immunizations needed to work in healthcare facilities.

    • Compensation :

  • Starting $18-$21 per hour based on experience.
