Job Summary :
Board-certified Ophthalmologist possessing a Virginia license with excellent clinical and surgical skills, competent in comprehensive / general Ophthalmology. Responsible for comprehensive eye care with a focus on handling more complex surgical services. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, be committed to growing the practice, and contribute to a healthy work environment for both patients and staff.
Job Description :
- Consults and treats referrals from specialties such as Neurology and Rheumatology.
- Participates in hospital calls with 2 other ophthalmologists.
- Performs examinations to assess the overall health of the eyes, identifying issues like glaucoma, cataracts, or other ocular conditions affecting vision.
- Diagnoses conditions and develops treatment plans aimed at correcting issues.
- Performs necessary surgical procedures when diagnosis requires surgery.
- Participates in hospital calls.
- Performs surgical procedures, including Cataract Surgery and other procedures related to eye injuries and diseases.
- Performs laser procedures such as YAG and SLT.
- Diagnoses and treats medical disorders affecting vision, including inflammatory, neurological, and vascular conditions.
- Diagnoses or treats injuries, disorders, or diseases of the eye and its structures, including the cornea, sclera, conjunctiva, retina, and eyelids.
- Handles some general ophthalmology duties, including routine eye exams and vision plans.
