Position Summary :
The Site Director is responsible for implementation of early childhood programming at their assigned site. The Site Director will be a liaison between families, family services staff, and outside agencies and will monitor progress and effectiveness of program plans and oversee program staffing, operations, and budget. The Site Director will work with the program service team led by the Chief Impact Officer to ensure that the level of care and education meets the standards of our licensing requirements and NAEYC, Quality Rate, and Head Start. As the leader on site, this position is responsible for all operational duties, including general curriculum implementation, facility safety, food service, and staffing. As part of this responsibility, the Site Director will complete the monthly reports required internally and from our partners. The Site Director is a positive leader who takes ownership of the program's quality goals and can contribute as a part of the Senior Leadership Team. This position also provides a professionalism model that includes professional attire, timeliness, high levels of accountability, active listening, ability to offer empathy to staff and families, and a commitment to the organization's mission.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide effective program leadership and management.
- Participates in the recruitment, selection, training and hiring of all early childhood program staff.
- Provides supervision / guidance to and monitors performance of all early childhood staff.
- Represents the agency in appropriate community forums.
- Helps sustain a culture of planning and of performance-based work and evaluation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Early Childhood Education.
- Provide leadership and service consistent with the ENRICH values of the agency.
- Works with the Program Services Team, led by the Chief Impact officer, in the development of annual and multi-year action.
- Lead and direct a high-quality early childhood program responsive to the specialized needs of children in transition.
- Work as a part of curriculum team to ensure accurate implementation of the selected curriculum.
- Ensure program reflects the standard of care that is consistent with NAEYC, Quality Rated, Bright from The Start and Head Start regulations.
- Ensures that all classrooms are appropriately equipped and have supplies required to function at a high standard.
- Ensure staff have the opportunity for ongoing growth and development by completing annual goals and providing support, training, and constructive feedback.
- Works in classrooms daily to support as needed and / or to observe.
- Participate in planning, implementing, and data collection for programs.
- Works as a part of the broader service team to ensure the goal of ending homelessness is being met.
- Participates in annual planning sessions and their own professional growth by participating in workshops, committees, and new projects.
- Completes all required monthly reports in a timely manner.
- Ensures service delivery is aligned with grant parameters.
- Provides technical information and advice to the leadership team about current and proposed projects and other operational needs.

Qualifications : Education
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Child Development, Family & Child Studies, or Family & Child Development required.Completion of 40 Hour Director’s training required by Bright from the Start.Must meet all credentialing and qualification standards required by state and program regulations.Additional certifications or endorsements in early childhood education are a plus.Experience
Minimum six years’ experience in early childhood education, including at least three years of experience in a supervisory role required.Schedule Requirements :
Onsite, 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday during standard business hours.Participation in weekend events and / or off-site meetings is required on occasion.Skills :

Ability to sit on the floor, kneel, bend, squat, and get up and down frequently throughout the day to engage with young children at their level.Ability to lift and carry children weighing up to 40 pounds, as well as classroom materials and supplies.Ability to move quickly and respond to children's needs or emergency situations.Adequate vision and hearing to ensure child safety and effective communication.Ability to push, pull, or maneuver strollers, cribs, or carts when needed.Manual dexterity to assist with dressing, feeding, diapering, and other care routines as required.Tolerance for working in a busy, sometimes noisy, and physically demanding environment.Health Requirements :
Proof of Tuberculosis (TB) test clearance required prior to employment.Must comply with any additional health screenings or vaccinations required by Our House or other regulatory agencies.Work Environment :
Work is primarily performed in a classroom, childcare center, or early learning setting with frequent outdoor supervision during playtime or field trips.Environment can be noisy, busy, and fast-paced, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.May be exposed to cleaning and sanitizing products, bodily fluids, and common childhood illnesses.Must be comfortable working at low heights (e.g., child-sized furniture, floor play) and in close physical proximity to young children.May involve occasional evening or weekend hours for family events, parent conferences, or professional development.Requires the ability to maintain emotional composure and professionalism while managing classroom behaviors, parent concerns, and unexpected situations.Must adhere to all safety protocols and licensing requirements set by state and local regulatory bodies.Salary Statement :
