A multifamily real estate group in Queens, NY, with a portfolio of over 6,500 units, is seeking to hire a Leasing Manager for its growing team. The Leasing Manager will be responsible for 200+ units.

This person should have experience with Yardi, rent stabilized, 421A, IAI's leasing capacity, and prior experience managing a team.

You will be responsible for managing a team of 4-5 individuals. After the first month of training, this position is eligible for a hybrid scheudle; 4 days in the office and 1 day work from home.

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and detail-oriented Permanent Hybrid Leasing Manager for Multifamily Apartments in the Accounting + Finance industry. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in leasing, multifamily housing, apartment building improvements, and finance. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where innovative ideas are encouraged and collaboration is a must. This is a hybrid role, which means you will have the flexibility to work both onsite and remotely.

Responsibilities

The Permanent Hybrid Leasing Manager will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including :

1. Overseeing all leasing activities for multifamily apartments, including managing lease renewals and negotiating lease terms.

2. Coordinating with onsite staff to ensure a smooth leasing process and high levels of customer satisfaction.

3. Managing Individual Apartment Improvements (IAI) and Major Capital Improvements (MCI), ensuring that they meet all regulatory requirements and are completed within budget and on schedule.

4. Navigating complex financial and regulatory environments, including compliance with DHCR regulations, 421A benefits, and apartment registrations.

5. Using Yardi or equivalent property management software to track and report on leasing activity, financial performance, and property improvements.

6. Collaborating with the accounting and finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and budgeting for leasing and improvement activities.

7. Maintaining a deep understanding of the multifamily housing market, including trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Hybrid Leasing Manager role will have the following qualifications :

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leasing capacity, preferably in the multifamily housing sector.

2. Experience with Individual Apartment Improvements (IAI) and Major Capital Improvements (MCI).

3. Proficiency in Yardi or equivalent property management software.

4. Familiarity with DHCR regulations, 421A benefits, and apartment registrations.

5. Strong financial acumen, with experience in the accounting and finance industry.

6. Excellent negotiation and customer service skills.

7. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid role, both onsite and remotely.

8. Proven track record of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

9. Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, or a related field is preferred.
