Assistant Clinical Director – Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Location : Durham, NC | Full-Time | Clinic-Based Leadership Role

We’re seeking an experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our Durham, NC clinic as an Assistant Clinical Director — a leadership opportunity focused on mentoring clinicians, guiding families, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, mentorship, and ongoing support to BCBAs, RBTs, BTs, and ABA trainees
  • Lead caregiver training to promote consistency and positive client outcomes
  • Manage personal billable utilization while supporting your team’s performance goals
  • Deliver direct therapy and provide clinical oversight to ensure excellence in care
  • Review treatment plans, progress notes, and data collection for accuracy and compliance
  • Oversee staff and student supervision in alignment with BACB requirements
  • Participate in professional development, training, and continuing education initiatives
  • Contribute to clinical meetings, process improvements, and policy development
  • Foster partnerships that align with AutismCOE’s mission and clinical values
  • Qualifications

  • Active BCBA certification in good standing (per BACB standards)
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing BCBA
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and collaborate effectively
  • Strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and ethical integrity
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and commitment to maintaining confidentiality

    Requirements

  • At least 3 years of BCBA experience is required
  • BCBA Certification : Board Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis, per BACB guidelines
  • Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis or related field
  • Experience working with children on the autism spectrum and other developmental disabilities
  • Passionate about clinical quality and client progress to drive decision-making and best practices
  • Exceptional skillset with leadership, time management, and observation
  • Strong analytical thinker who is data-driven and client-centered
