Job descriptionWork in a hospital-based radiology department performing general, breast, and OB ultrasound procedures Patient population includes adult, inpatient, outpatient, and ER cases Procedures include abdominal, breast, OB (1st-3rd trimester), paracentesis, thoracentesis, breast biopsies, FNA, pediatric abdomen / pelvis, and more Daily caseload averages 20-25 exams Set schedule : Monday-Tuesday days (7a-7p), Wednesday nights (7p-7a) Call is required as part of the assignment No floating or weekend requirements Uses GE equipment and PACS system; documentation with Epic EMR Royal blue scrubs are required First-time travelers are welcome to apply Call response is a core responsibility of the role Interview required prior to offer Applicants who have been employed by Novant Health or New Hanover as PERM, PRN, or EP staff must wait 12 months before being considered for a travel position Current Per Diem travel clinicians at Novant Health or New Hanover are not eligible for travel assignments Travelers are auto-approved for up to 7 days of requested time off not falling on a holiday; anything more requires advance approval Candidates must work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays No time off is allowed during the first week of the assignment due to orientation Candidates living less than 50 miles from the facility will receive a local pay rate Modules must be completed prior to start and annually, with hours varying by specialty Fatigue policy limits work to no more than 5 consecutive days and no more than 60 hours in a week Current ARDMS and BLS certifications are required At least 1 year of recent ultrasound experience in a hospital or similar clinical setting Experience with GE ultrasound equipment and PACS required Competence in general, breast, OB, and minor procedural ultrasounds is mandatory Skill with Epic EMR is required Experience with isolation precautions is required License required if applicable High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
