American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist experienced in adult and ER imaging with ARDMS and BLS certification for a varied shift hospital assignment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital-based radiology department performing general, breast, and OB ultrasound proceduresPatient population includes adult, inpatient, outpatient, and ER casesProcedures include abdominal, breast, OB (1st-3rd trimester), paracentesis, thoracentesis, breast biopsies, FNA, pediatric abdomen / pelvis, and moreDaily caseload averages 20-25 examsSet schedule : Monday-Tuesday days (7a-7p), Wednesday nights (7p-7a)Call is required as part of the assignmentNo floating or weekend requirementsUses GE equipment and PACS system; documentation with Epic EMRRoyal blue scrubs are requiredFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyCall response is a core responsibility of the roleInterview required prior to offerApplicants who have been employed by Novant Health or New Hanover as PERM, PRN, or EP staff must wait 12 months before being considered for a travel positionCurrent Per Diem travel clinicians at Novant Health or New Hanover are not eligible for travel assignmentsTravelers are auto-approved for up to 7 days of requested time off not falling on a holiday; anything more requires advance approvalCandidates must work at least 2 out of 3 major holidaysNo time off is allowed during the first week of the assignment due to orientationCandidates living less than 50 miles from the facility will receive a local pay rateModules must be completed prior to start and annually, with hours varying by specialtyFatigue policy limits work to no more than 5 consecutive days and no more than 60 hours in a week\n \n Requirements\n
Current ARDMS and BLS certifications are requiredAt least 1 year of recent ultrasound experience in a hospital or similar clinical settingExperience with GE ultrasound equipment and PACS requiredCompetence in general, breast, OB, and minor procedural ultrasounds is mandatorySkill with Epic EMR is requiredExperience with isolation precautions is requiredLicense required if applicable\n Benefits\n
