Advanced Practice Provider (APP / PA / NP)-Inpatient Procedural Sedation Adult Acute Care

Overview

The University of Virginia Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP)—either an Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)—to join our Inpatient Procedural Sedation Service. This unique hybrid service provides moderate sedation to adult inpatients throughout the medical center, supporting a wide variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The APP plays a central role in evaluating patients, developing individualized sedation plans, and delivering procedural sedation in a safe and effective manner. This is a day / evening position that offers a dynamic mix of fixed-location sedation care and a roving / mobile service to meet patients where they are within the hospital.
