The Consolidated School District of New Britain is accepting applications for substitute school nurses. We prefer candidates with experience in pediatrics, emergency medicine/triage, or public health nursing. Applicants should be comfortable working independently and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Current State of Connecticut Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (proof required).
• One year of experience as an LPN.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to function autonomously.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
• Experience documenting visit notes in electronic medical records.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.
• Experience with tracheostomies and feeding tubes.
