Job description

Our client is an American company engaged in the development of hydrogen fuel cell systems that replace conventional batteries in equipment and vehicles powered by electricity. This role is responsible for the assembly and quality validation of GenDrive fuel cell technology. Ideal candidates for this role possess a background in manufacturing of electro-mechanical assemblies along with a quality focus and strong attention to detail. The Production Technician role is also very safety focused and committed to working in a collaborative team environment to achieve manufacturing goals. Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesHand assembly of a variety of sub-systems and components utilized in manufacturing customers fuel cell technology; assembly tasks are electro-mechanical in natureAbility to read, interpret and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assembly instructionsOperation of manual hand tools and power tools as required in assembly and validation workOperation of material handling equipment, including manual and electric power jacksAbility to perform basic troubleshooting and problem solving to diagnose system, sub-system, and ancillary component issues in the course of the manufacturing processFollow all environmental health and safety regulations in the course of work; compliance with all OSHA standardsMaintain proper housekeeping so as to promote a safe and efficient workplaceMust professionally communicate and collaborate with other team members and supervisorsAbility to complete manufacturing documentation as required in the course of workPerform other duties as assigned Qualifications and Experience High school diploma or equivalent; vocational education / training is preferredAt least one (1) of experience within a manufacturing assembly position; electro-mechanical assembly experience preferredHigh degree of manual dexterity and mechanical aptitudeComfort operating hand / power tools safely and efficientlyAbility to work overtime as assigned and commit to a flexible work schedule around manufacturing demandAbility to operate a computer and perform computer transactions accuratelyBasic familiarity with Microsoft Office software programsQuality focused and detail-orientedTeam player with a positive communication styleAbility to stand for long periods of time in performance of job functions-Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
