PULLMAN, a Structural Group Company, integrates technology-driven, engineered solutions into its contracting services. PULLMAN provides specialty design-build services for new and existing structures, and a wide range of specialty repair and maintenance services. With offices across the United States, PULLMAN is the union contracting business line of Structural Group and is signatory to local, national, and international labor union agreements.
We are currently recruiting for a Superintendent based out of our San Francisco office in Benicia, CA. As a Superintendent for PULLMAN, you will provide high-level field management to other Superintendents, Foremen, and our union crews on projects that typically include concrete repair, masonry restoration, waterproofing, and structural strengthening in commercial and industrial settings.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Project Managers, Division Managers and other leaders within PULLMAN.
- Participate in pre-project and pre-task planning activities and disseminate planning details to field teams.
- Motivate team members, coordinate work activities with other construction tasks, and assign work to employees based on material and workforce requirements.
- Ensure crews operate tools and equipment in a safe, proper, and productive manner.
- Provide training and assistance to field managers and crews for work-related tasks.
- Assist Project Managers in evaluating production rates related to the project.
- Complete essential paperwork clearly and accurately.
- Interview and hire new field employees.
- Provide leadership to the Company’s Safety 24 / 7 culture.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field may be preferred.10+ years of general construction experience with at least 5 years in a field management role (Foreman or Assistant Superintendent level or above).Prior experience in general repair projects including concrete repair, structural strengthening, waterproofing, corrosion control, and façade restoration.Experience managing 3-8 projects simultaneously (size / complexity permitting).Proven ability to manage multiple levels of field managers and oversee divisional field operations.Ability to read, interpret, and execute construction drawings and contract specifications; able to resolve discrepancies.Strong commitment to safety and alignment with operating principles.Experience producing look-ahead schedules and using construction documents effectively.Excellent communication with customers, crews, and project teams.Intermediate computer and construction math skills.Salary and Benefits
Anticipated salary range is between $125,000 and $155,000 based on education and experience.
