Description :

The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients and families.

The Registered Professional Nurse assesses patient needs, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates care delivery throughout the patient’s episode.

The Registered Nurse provides care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with medical conditions.

The Registered Nurse is accountable for patient and family education to assist in understanding self-care beyond hospitalization, including lifestyle changes to support health and healing.

The Registered Nurse is expected to promote comfort and provide emotional support in a healing environment.

The Registered Nurse applies nursing knowledge and skill in the delivery of care.

The Registered Nurse assesses patient and family needs through active listening, social perceptiveness, and analyzing data or information obtained through direct observation or health team communication.

The Registered Nurse creates a developmentally and age-appropriate, culturally relevant, individualized plan of care to address the nature and scope of the health problems identified.

In collaboration with the patient, family, physician, and healthcare team members, the Registered Nurse sets goals and monitors the patient’s progress.

The Registered Nurse adjusts the plan based on patient response or changes in condition or prioritization of needs.
