Construction Integration Manager - Virginia Class Submarine

Maritime Operations, a team within Mission Technologies-Global Security-Nuclear & Environmental Services, is looking for a Construction Integration Manager - Virginia Class Submarine candidate to join the team in Newport News, VA. The role involves supporting Newport News Shipbuilding new construction efforts for Virginia Class Submarines. The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal and project management skills as they will be responsible for integrating construction and test priorities for the submarines being built at Newport News Shipbuilding. Specifically, tackling the challenges of the construction / testing of focused areas of responsibility as a project manager and timely turnover of ship systems to the customer; as well as working with a range of stakeholders to develop a resource loaded integrated ship delivery schedule - from early stages of construction through ship delivery to the US Navy.

What You Will Do :

• The role involves overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects, acting as a liaison between program management and planning, project team, line management, test organizations, and the customer.
• The job responsibilities include reviewing the status of projects and budgets, managing schedules, and preparing status reports.
• The candidate is expected to assess project issues and develop resolutions that meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for developing mechanisms to monitor project progress and intervene and solve problems with project managers, line managers, and customers.
