Position Overview

Valitana is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated QA Engineer to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of our SaaS platforms by designing and executing test plans, identifying bugs, and collaborating closely with developers and product managers to deliver best-in-class solutions for institutional investors. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases for web-based SaaS applications.
• Validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes to ensure quality and consistency across releases.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Perform regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
• Track, document, and communicate software defects in Jira ensuring timely resolutions.
• Continuously enhance test automation frameworks in Mabl and identify areas for process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with stated industry standards and best practices.
• Contribute to release readiness, deployment validation, and post-production monitoring.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of professional QA or software testing experience, preferably within FinTech or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Mabl, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
• Familiarity with APIs and tools for API testing (e.g., Swagger, Postman, RestAssured).
• Experience testing SaaS platforms, preferably involving structured finance products (CLOs, ABS, CMBS, MBS, etc.).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
• Preferred proficiency in SQL to validate data-driven test cases.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited school.

What We Offer

The base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000. Valitana offers a competitive compensation package which includes base salary and performance driven bonus. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes an employer matched retirement plan, healthcare with medical, dental, vision, telemedicine, and PTO.

Employees in this role will work in the office Mondays through Wednesdays with the flexibility to work remotely Thursdays and Fridays.
