Opportunity Highlights

Schedule : 7 on / 7 off, 12-hour shifts (7 : 00 p.m.–7 : 00 a.m.)

Job Setting : Inpatient coverage of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery patients

Type of Cases :

– Vascular Surgery : ICU (co-management with Critical Care) and floor patients

– Cardiothoracic Surgery : Floor patients only; no CT-surgery ICU coverage

Responsibilities : Overnight management of post-op and step-down patients, coordination with attending surgeons and ICU teams

Surgical / Call Requirements : No OR responsibilities and no call

Credentialing : Streamlined onboarding; emergency privileges available

Minimum Requirements for Consideration

Board Certified / Board Eligible : Physician Assistant – Surgical or Acute Care focus preferred

Certifications : ACLS, BLS

Licensure : Active North Carolina license or open to candidates eligible for NC licensure
