Job descriptionRegistered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) credential required. Mammography credential : ARRT (R)(M) or equivalent mammography certification required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience in mammography examinations, including screening and diagnostic mammography. At least 1 year of mammography experience. Knowledge of mammography principles, practices, protocols, equipment operation (digital mammography, tomosynthesis) and regulatory standards (MQSA, ACR) is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work effectively with patients (including a diverse population), technologists, radiologists, and other team members. Attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care and safety. Ability to operate computers and imaging software. Preferred : prior experience working in a breast imaging department; familiarity with Alaska Native / American Indian health care context (for SCF) – you may tailor or remove this depending on your facility.
