Job description

Job Duties

  • Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages.
  • Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service.
  • Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
  • Performs related customer service functions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma / GED.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must demonstrate area knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and / or assistance. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and courier methods.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet qualifications outlined in FMCSA or FAA regulations, including medical exams. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Preferred Qualifications

Pay Transparency : This range is an estimate of the starting salary across potential locations. Actual pay depends on experience, market, location, and other factors. Employees may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonuses. Benefits include health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay

Starting Rate : $26.70 / hour. Hourly Range : $26.70 - $34.55.

Additional Details

Work schedule : Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays, between 6 : 30 am and 8 : 30 pm.
