About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate or Vice President for a newly created role in Data Governance. This position is pivotal in shaping and leading the firm's data governance strategy, with a focus on establishing frameworks that ensure data integrity, security, and usability. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, enterprise-wide data governance programs, particularly across key SaaS platforms. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for data integrity and governance, and a strong mix of technical expertise, business acumen, and a collaborative spirit.

Key responsibilities for the role include defining and enforcing policies for data classification, retention, and access control, as well as partnering with cross-functional teams to embed governance into daily workflows. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years' of experience in data governance, data management, or information security, preferably within confidential or regulated environments. Hands-on experience with relevant tools and a proven ability to design and operationalize governance frameworks are essential. The role also involves monitoring and mitigating risks, creating dashboards for compliance, and leading training initiatives to foster a culture of data responsibility and awareness. Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a commitment to excellence are a must.
