Sales Manager

Job Purpose : Our Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development, coordination and direction of profitable sales within a specified region. Duties include acting as the leader of your territory by managing a team of sales professionals, implementing and fostering corporate initiatives, maintaining supplier relationships and growing Veritiv's customer base. This position requires a take the wheel approach for the entire sales process along with strong skills for intelligence gathering, prospecting, negotiating and account management.

Job Responsibilities :

• Develop a team of high performers who grow business through new account acquisition and expanding share of wallet.
• Implement sales and marketing strategies which will contribute to achieving the Territory and Regional objectives.
• Conduct sales meetings, trainings, and account / pipeline reviews on a regular basis with sales group.
• Set appropriate performance objectives for team members and hold them accountable for achieving these.
• Identify opportunities and present solutions offered by the organization that meet the customer's needs.
• Create a personal network and represent the organization at business sector events to enhance the company brand.
• Work with organization to ensure team members maintain up-to-date customer and inventory data in the CRM and identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Manage and report on team performance, assets (inventory) and budget execution.
• Partner with the Credit Manager to ensure accounts receivable are kept current.
• Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures to ensure the team's and own work adheres to required standards.
• May be requested to perform other duties as assigned.
