One of our clients in Nashville, TN needs a Medical Technologist / Clinical Laboratory Scientist for a full-time position.

• Position: Medical Technologist / Clinical Laboratory Scientist
• Locations: Nashville, TN

Description of Duties:

• Will perform a broad range of laboratory procedures, including advanced and complex laboratory procedures. Must be able to recognize deviation from expected results and use scientific principles to analyze and correct problems
• Maintain and document the optimal functioning of laboratory equipment. Use, calibrate, and identify malfunctions; repair and perform preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Perform and document quality control and quality assurance activities and corrective actions related to test performance using statistical principles and theories of performance improvement
• Answer inquiries regarding test results, methodology, test specificity, test sensitivity, and specific factors that influence test results. Interpret results and suggest follow-up test selection or procedures
• Advise patients on the use of eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.

Education and Licenses:

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Medical Technologist: Bachelor of Science Degree,
• Certification from Nationally recognized accrediting agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT etc),
• Minimum of 2 years' experience.
