Engage in physically demanding tasks such as lifting and pulling heavy objects. Operate both light and heavy equipment, as well as various hand and powered tools. Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) properly. Work in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors. Be prepared to handle exposure to hazardous materials in varying environments. Assist with field sampling activities and meter calibrations. Follow all compliance regulations and guidelines. Participate in emergency response on a rotating basis. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Physical ability to perform job responsibilities. Ability to be on-call for emergencies, working some weekends and holidays as required. Complete background checks, drug tests, and physicals as necessary. Meet facial hair standards for those required to wear respirators. Previous labor experience is a plus.
Join Clean Harbors as an Emergency Response Environmental Field Laborer and be a crucial part of our dedicated team! You will work actively in the field, managing tasks related to hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling various hazardous materials.
This position requires :
- Valid driver's license
- Monday to Friday schedule with an average start time of 6 AM
- 8-10+ hour days with overtime after 40 hours
- Availability for emergency responses and occasional project work during evenings and weekends
- Possible overnight travel, with hotel and per diem covered by the company
All new hires must attend our 2-week out-of-state Training Academy, which is paid and all expenses are covered by Clean Harbors.
