About The Position

Job Title : Resource Pool RN

Profession : Registered Nurse

Specialty : ICU / PCU

Duration : 13 weeks (with the possibility to extend)

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : 2+ years required

License : Active nursing license required

Certifications : BLS and ACLS required

Must-Have : Epic experience required

Description :

Resource Pool RN (ICU / PCU).

ASAP start preferred.

Preferred candidates should have 2+ years of large hospital experience.

Travelers must be comfortable working in all ICU and PCU units.

Staffing office reviews needs of the full facility every 4 hours.

Resource Pool nurses could be pulled or floated to any ICU or PCU unit every 4 hours.

Patient ratios are 2 : 1 in ICU and 5 : 1 in PCU.

All requested time off must be submitted upfront.

No approvals for holiday time off during Christmas will be granted.

Travelers are required to work at least 1 holiday per 13-week assignment.

For winter holidays, travelers must work 2 holidays, including Thanksgiving and New Year’s.

All compliance documents are due one week before the start date.

Travel candidates who reside within 100 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted for this position.

Experience with arterial line management, managing BiPAP and CPAP, blood product administration, and care of ventilated patients is required.

Central line care and management, emergency medications, and interpretation of dysrhythmias are essential skills.

Travelers should also have experience in starting and maintaining IVs and managing surgical wounds with drains.

The ability to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips is necessary.

ICU experience is required.

Travelers should be ready to float as needed.

Modules may be completed pre-start or during orientation.

All travelers should adhere to facility policies.

Applicants must have a strong commitment to patient care and be prepared for a dynamic working environment.
