Responsibilities Work in the Operating Room of a short-term acute care, teaching hospital Focus on liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures, including organ implantation Proficiency in using Misonix / CUSA equipment is required Day shifts are 6 : 45 am to 5 : 15 pm, four days per week On-call required : one shift per week and two 12-hour weekend shifts per month Epic EMR system is used Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required Locals are accepted at the same rate Engage in highly specialized transplant surgeries, handling both organ placement and other procedures as needed Must pass EKG and Pharmacology tests during orientation with up to two attempts; failure will result in cancellation Required to complete time-sensitive online modules promptly once confirmed for assignment Facility is strictly nicotine free; all travelers must be nicotine free with no exceptions Scrub color is ceil blue Parking is free in any unrestricted space First-time travelers are accepted All requested time off must be submitted up front for approval Requirements Active FL or Compact RN license (may be pending at time of consideration) Minimum 2 years of direct Operating Room RN experience with liver and transplant cases Current ACLS and BLS certifications required at time of consideration NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start Proven experience with liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures including organ implantation Proficiency with Misonix / CUSA equipment Negative 10-panel and nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start Two references from direct supervisors or managers required No prior permanent or per diem employment at the facility within the last year Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626658.
