Description : A Structural Engineering Technician job is currently available at Belcan in Windsor, CT. This is a full-time direct job with benefits. Great matching candidates will need an Associate's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. In this role, you will conduct structural analyses of a wide variety of component designs utilizing advanced analytical and CAD tools. This includes turbo machinery components, mechanical systems & controls, and tooling & instrumentation for commercial and military jet engines. 0-3 years of experience.

Job Duties :

Perform structural analyses using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and post-process results

Provide technical support for optimizing hardware designs and modeling approach

Review structural test plans and reports

Create and present substantiation documentation of analysis results

Support hardware certification testing

Review non-conformance / damage reports

Interface with customers, hardware suppliers, and participate in design reviews / trade studies

Required :

AS in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or related field

0-3 years' experience

Strong communication and presentation skills

High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Due to the nature of our work US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED

Experience using FEA software

Preferred :

Experience using Ansys Workbench or Classic

Experience evaluating stress and life of parts under vibration

Experience with gas turbine components

Aircraft engine controls and accessories experience

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $45,000 - $55,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
