Compensation : $100,000 annually

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for analyzing blueprints, preparing competitive cost estimates, and ensuring accurate proposals for a variety of electrical projects. You’ll work closely with project managers, operations, and accounting to ensure a smooth transition from bid to build, while building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to determine material, equipment, labor, and subcontractor costs.
  • Prepare, assemble, and submit complete bid proposals, including takeoffs, supplier / subcontractor quotes, and cost breakdowns.
  • Lead pre-bid activities, including attending meetings, site visits, and bid reviews.
  • Identify areas of concern and provide creative, cost-effective solutions for challenging projects.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with project management and operations teams to ensure seamless project hand-offs.
  • Support procurement by preparing purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
  • Track and analyze bid outcomes to continuously improve estimating strategies.
  • Stay current with electrical codes, distribution systems, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in commercial or industrial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, distribution systems, and industry standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and contract documents.
  • Demonstrated success in securing profitable projects in a competitive bid environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
  • Experience with Conest Intellibid estimating software.
