TITLE : PACKAGING OPERATOR B

LOCATION : Oswego, IL

SHIFT & HOURS : Monday - Friday 6am - 4 : 30pm

Hiring Hourly Rate : $24.63 / Hr.

Custom Culinary, a subsidiary of Griffith Foods, is hiring a Packaging Operator to responsible for the set-up, operation, adjustment, and clean-up of packaging equipment. The equipment includes form fill and seal packaging machines, bulk packaging machines, jar packaging machines, check weighers, metal detectors and case fillers. The operator ensures that quality products are packaged in a safe, efficient, and sanitary manner.

As a Packer Dumper your responsibilities will include :

• Pack and label products accurately and efficiently.
• Inspect items and packaging materials for damage or defects.
• Operate packing equipment and tools safely.
• Follow all safety and quality control procedures.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and repetitive movements.

Physical Requirements :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand and walk to communicate and listen effectively. This will require both office and plant environments. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. The employee will occasionally need to operate and drive a forklift or electronic pallet jack to transport materials or goods.

Environmental Concerns

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and / or humid conditions; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Dust and odor present in environment.
