Overview

CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer - Zos position for our client in Piscataway, NJ.

Duration : 5 months

Duties :

Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using Z / OS technologies.

Perform programming, debugging, and testing of batch and online CICS / COBOL applications.

Manage and maintain DB2, VSAM, and CICS environments.

Utilize JCL and Endevor for job scheduling, version control, and deployment processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement MQ messaging solutions within CICS / COBOL and batch programs.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production issues as needed.

Skills :

Strong expertise in DB2, VSAM, CICS, and JCL.

Hands-on experience with Endevor for code promotion and version control.

Programming experience in MQ with CICS / COBOL and Batch / COBOL.

Solid understanding of mainframe application development, debugging, and performance tuning.

Experience :

Proven experience as a Mainframe Application Developer, preferably in large-scale enterprise environments.

Experience supporting production applications and implementing changes with minimal downtime.

Demonstrated ability to work with multiple technologies and tools in a mainframe environment.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00 / hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
