This position reports to Energy Harbor corporate offices at the DOC (Akron, Ohio) and will serve as the engineering subject matter expert (SME) with regards to North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC) / Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Program and related activities for the Fleet Engineering department.
Responsibilities Include
- Maintaining NERC Program Compliance for nuclear and fossil generation.
- Leading NERC Compliance Champions / Site Coordinators Monthly Meetings.
- Interface with JDEC Solutions and maintain JOA and MOU documents.
- Addressing compliance issues, violations, and audit findings.
- Coordinating responses to NERC audits and maintaining NERC Program documentation.
- Arranging and leading the quarterly Energy Harbor Executive NERC Compliance Committee (ENCC) meetings.
- Responding to emerging NERC FERC issues and industry standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.Minimum of 10 years of nuclear experience.Effective communication skills.Experience with outside SME assistance.Knowledge of nuclear and fossil operations.Previous NERC - FERC experience preferred.Benefits & Diversity
