Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity seeks a skilled Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students to provide specialized instruction within a K-12 school setting in Oakland, CA. The position is contract-based for the uping school year (NSY).

Key Qualifications :

  • Experience teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Knowledge of language development, munication strategies, and specialized instructional methods for DHH learners
  • Ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) effectively
  • Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
  • Certification or licensure relevant to teaching DHH students preferred

Location :

  • Oakland, California, serving K-12 student populations

    • Responsibilities :

  • Develop and deliver tailored lessons to meet the academic and munication needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
  • Assess student progress and adapt instructional strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to support student success
  • Maintain detailed records and ply with educational regulations and IEP requirements
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and growth
