WHAT YOU WILL DO :
We are looking for a Data Center Hardware Technician to join our dedicated operations team. In this hands-on role, you will focus on repairing and maintaining vital data center hardware, including servers, switches, routers, and other essential components. If you have experience with hardware from prominent vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and x86 server platforms, we want to hear from you!
Pay rates for this position are competitive, with day shifts ranging from $26.45 to $31.25 per hour and night shifts ranging from $31.25 to $36.06 per hour.
This role requires flexibility for rotational shifts in a 24 / 7 / 365 operational environment, with potential travel of up to 10% both domestically and internationally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Conduct hands-on repairs and replacements of malfunctioning hardware components in data center equipment.
- Manage all aspects of hardware component life cycles, from installation and troubleshooting to decommissioning and recycling.
- Perform physical inspections and routine maintenance to guarantee operational reliability.
- Oversee inventory management of spare parts to ensure availability for repairs and upgrades.
- Collaborate with technical teams to coordinate equipment replacements and minimize downtime.
- Document all repair activities and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
- Execute basic troubleshooting related to connectivity and performance standards.
- Assist in the installation of new hardware and physical setup of infrastructure.
- Join emergency response teams to address urgent hardware issues promptly.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA :
A technical diploma or certification in electronics, computer hardware, or a related area, or equivalent hands-on experience.Demonstrated success in repairing and maintaining IT and network hardware within a data center setting.Familiarity with hardware from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, and Arista is highly desirable.Strong organizational skills to effectively prioritize and manage tasks.Excellent problem-solving capabilities in fast-paced environments.Valid driver's license and physical ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment, occasionally up to 100 pounds.Dexterity in handling small, complex components for hardware maintenance.Frequent standing, bending, and navigating confined spaces within the data center.Capability to work in varied environmental conditions, including elevated temperatures and noise levels.EOS BENEFITS :
