This role immerses you in healthcare and biomedical research facilities systems, compliance programs, and program management to support the Center’s mission. Your experience can benefit all who visit our campus grounds and buildings by applying practical technical design, planning, and installation methods to solve various operational challenges. You will accomplish varying tasks throughout the day. Engineered design and review, code consultation, project development/scoping/execution, mentoring younger staff, troubleshooting systems with our maintenance staff, and applying energy management practices, to name a few.
Starting salary is $161,476.
Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in engineering or related field with New York State professional engineer licensure and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time related professional experience in: facilities management, or maintenance or operations and design, HVAC and plumbing design and specification; or electrical design, specification and project management; or
2. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with New York State professional engineer licensure and the equivalent of eight (8) years of full-time related professional experience in: facilities management, or maintenance or operations and design, HVAC and plumbing design and specification; or electrical design, specification and project management; or
3. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with a New York State Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certificate and the equivalent of ten (10) years of full-time related professional experience in: facilities management, or maintenance or operations and design, HVAC and plumbing design and specification; or electrical design, specification and project management.
