Mechanical Engineer III Highlights
- The pay for this position is $69.44 per hour .
- Schedule : Monday–Thursday onsite, Friday flexible.
- Hours : 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM (1-hour lunch, some flexibility).
- Location Type : Onsite (Covington, GA).
- Employment Type : Contract-to-hire.

Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components, mechanisms, systems, and finished products or capital equipment.Lead and mentor a small engineering team through various phases of product design and development.Conduct design reviews, testing, and validation to ensure compliance with technical and business requirements.Apply advanced statistical and analytical techniques such as FEA, tolerance analysis, and DOE to solve complex mechanical problems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers—to integrate electromechanical systems.Independently manage project priorities and timelines while ensuring technical alignment and successful outcomes.Participate in R&D initiatives and support innovation in mechanical and electromechanical system design.Ensure designs comply with industry and regulatory standards, with particular emphasis on safety and reliability.Provide technical documentation, design specifications, and risk analysis reports as required.Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges throughout the design and production process.Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME or MSME) .Minimum of 8 years of experience in electromechanical or capital equipment design.Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to lead a small engineering team.Experience designing and developing complex mechanical systems in an R&D environment .Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.Proficiency in engineering analysis tools and statistical methods.Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the medical device or other regulated industry.Advanced experience in testing, prototyping, and product validation.Familiarity with structured product development methodologies (e.g., Stage-Gate, DFSS).Benefits Available
