CT X-Ray Technologist 7a-7p at Western Capital Resources Inc.

Fountain Hills Medical Center is a brand new Freestanding ER set to open early 2021 in Fountain Hills, Arizona. The facility will include imaging and lab functionality, ER beds, in-patient beds, and a Primary Care Clinic. We are seeking Radiology / CT Technologists who value imaging knowledge, autonomy, teamwork, and patient-family centered care to join the team.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patient for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views as requested by the physician.
• Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
• Positions imaging equipment, determines exposure factors based on patient characteristics, and adjusts controls to produce images with proper detail.
• Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures, including nuclear medicine and sonography.
• Assists radiologist in fluoroscopic and special X-ray examinations.
• Measures and mixes barium and contrast media as required.
• Processes images and ensures proper patient / record identification and quality control.
• Prepares images for radiologist or requesting physician reading.
• Performs routine maintenance and assists with troubleshooting on radiologic equipment; arranges repairs as needed.
• Operates mobile radiologic equipment in the operating room, emergency room, or at the patients bedside.
• Completes forms and maintains records, logs, and reports for radiology and related lab duties.
• Assists in other duties such as patient registration, lab draws, EKGs, and splinting in the ED as needed.

Qualifications

Education / Experience : Bachelors degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and / or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical regulations, reports, journals and documents. Ability to respond to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, and community members.

Math Ability : Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability : Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret technical instructions and work with various variables.

Computer Skills : Basic computer knowledge, EMR, PACS.

Certificates and Licenses : AZ State License, ARRT, BLS, ACLS.

Work Environment : Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Radiation exposure risk may be present; noise level is typically moderate.

Physical Demands : The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 75 pounds. The role requires standing, frequent walking, and occasional sitting.
