A licensed Behavioral Health Psychologist is sought for a locum position to conduct forensic assessments, including mental evaluations and risk assessments. Summary

  • Job Type : Locums
  • Schedule : Monday to Friday, 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 30 PM
  • Duration : 6 months
  • Start : Up to 30 days from acceptance due to credentialing process

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough forensic assessments, including pretrial mental evaluations, competency restoration examinations, sexually violent predator evaluations, risk assessments for patients charged with a sex offense, and conditional release assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans specifying the type, frequency, intensity, and duration of therapy
  • Treat and counsel clients using a variety of treatment methods to assist in behavior modification
  • Write detailed reports on clients and evaluate the effectiveness of counseling or other treatments, modifying plans and diagnoses as necessary

    • Qualifications

  • Licensed professional in the field of behavioral health
  • Experience in conducting forensic assessments and clinical duties
  • Strong understanding of various treatment methods and behavior modification techniques
  • Excellent report writing and evaluation skills
  • Ability to manage a patient volume of 10-15 patients per day

    • Requirements

  • Must be licensed in the states of Missouri
  • DEA full authorization (active)
  • BLS Certification
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, though the specific system is unknown
  • Psychiatric forensic experience or CFE for the Department of Health
