About The Position

Description :

The position involves overseeing inpatient operations, including IV room duties and sterile compounding.

Responsibilities include checking medication orders and managing stock for automated dispensing machines.

The pharmacist will handle controlled substances, perform cart fills, and engage in non-sterile and sterile compounding.

Other duties include administering vaccines and ensuring medication compatibility.

The role requires proficiency in phone etiquette and basic computer skills.

Supervision of 2-5 technicians during shifts alongside 1-2 other pharmacists is expected.

Work hours consist of 4 twelve-hour IV room shifts one week and 3 ten-hour operation shifts the alternate week.

Flexibility with days of the week based on preferences is available.

The medication dispensing system utilizes a centralized pharmacy approach.

Manual cart filling is performed due to the limited use of standard doses for pediatric patients.

An automated dispensing system is employed for certain medications used in patient care units and operating rooms.

Scrub attire required is navy blue.

This role does not include on-call requirements.

No holiday or weekend work is expected; shifts are strictly weekday only.
