Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Wichita, KS 67214 (Kansas nursing jobs)

Unit : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Start Date : January 19, 2026

End Date : April 20, 2026

Shift : Day Shift, 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM (12-hour shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1470 - $1570

Patient Ratio : 1 : 4

Unit Size : 14 beds

Team : Registered Nurses (RNs) and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)

EMR System : Meditech

Scheduling : Every other weekend required

Floating : Must be available to float to other hospital units as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Kansas or compact state)

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Telemetry or Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Proficient in medication drips, central line management, and heart catheterization recovery

Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Patient-centered approach and ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team

Tele RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU / Telemetry unit

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, ECGs, and vital signs

Administer medications, manage IV drips, and monitor patient responses

Care for patients with chest tubes, central lines, and post-heart cath recovery

Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR

Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals

Float to other hospital units as required

Provide compassionate, patient-focused care to enhance patient outcomes
