About The Position

Job Title : Sonographer

Profession : Sonographer

Specialty : Radiology

Duration : 24 weeks

Shift : 12-hour day shift

Hours per Shift : 72 hours per two weeks

Experience : Minimum 2 years recent experience in general echo and vascular

License : Active ARDMS certification

Certifications : Active BLS (must be AHA)

Must-Have : Experience with EPIC charting

Description :

The Sonographer performs diagnostic examinations on patients as ordered by the provider and directed by the radiologist.

To obtain examinations of the highest quality, this staff member routinely utilizes a high level of clinical expertise and problem-solving in their modality.

Determines appropriate positioning and scan parameters for each study.

Reviews images for clarity, documentation of appropriate anatomy, and accuracy to assure clear visualization of the area of concern.

Documents examination findings on the appropriate sonographer worksheet.

Maintains a positive customer service attitude while performing all duties.

Conducts themselves in a professional and courteous manner during all customer interactions.

Accepts personal responsibility for professional practice by adhering to standards of the profession.

Carries out all responsibilities in line with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.

Some weekends may be required, and flexibility on shift is necessary.

There is a possibility of assisting with OR cases.

Dress code is scrubs, which are not provided.

Scheduling details include varying shifts on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays.
