About the Practice

Infectious Disease Consultants, PLC is a single‑specialty private practice located in Northern Virginia just a short drive to Washington, DC. The group was formed in 1996 and continues to grow and expand. We provide clinical services at three Inova Health System hospitals, including the almost 1,000‑bed Fairfax Hospital, as well as office care at our outpatient clinic covering infusion therapy, travel‑related illness and wound care. Our physicians typically spend 2–3 half‑days per week seeing office patients, with the remainder of their time rounding on the inpatient hospital service, and also participate in teaching opportunities with residents from the Inova Podiatry residency program.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient infectious disease care across three Inova hospitals.
• Manage outpatient patients, including infusion therapy, travel‑related illness and wound care.
• Spend 2–3 half‑days per week in outpatient clinic and the remainder on inpatient rounds.
• Participate in teaching with residents.
• Maintain an equitable call schedule, typically on weekend call once per month.
