Fresh Baguette is a fast-growing, artisanal bakery known for its high-quality standards and modern atmosphere. The company was founded in Bethesda, MD in 2013, to bring fresh, made-from-scratch organic breads, pastries, sweets, and croissant items inspired by bakeries in France to the DMV area. We have expanded to seven retail locations, two production bakeries, and a thriving wholesale business. We serve coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, and grocery stores with fresh products every day, 365 days a year.

Location : Germantown, MD (with travel in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia as needed)

Reports to : Retail Operation Manager

Salary : Starting at $65,000 / year

Position Overview : We are looking for a dynamic Business Developer with a focus on project development and expansion. This role is ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of managing multiple projects at once and developing them with little guidance. While experience is valued, the right mindset and attitude are key to success in this position. The Business Developer will be instrumental in two main missions : expanding our catering business and new location openings.

Key Responsibilities

1. New Location Expansion

• Site Targeting & Selection : Identify and pre-select potential new retail locations based on company guidelines, conducting site visits to assess feasibility and profitability.
• Store Construction & Opening : Oversee the construction process for new locations, ensuring plans are followed, addressing issues with senior management, and assisting with store openings.
• Operations Optimization : Regularly review and recommend improvements to enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and overall performance.
