We are seeking a skilled Splicer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fiber splicing and a strong understanding of network infrastructure. This role involves working with various hand and power tools to build and maintain IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity for our clients. The Splicer will be responsible for executing precise fiber splicing tasks while adhering to safety and quality standards.

• Responsibilities
• Perform fiber splicing tasks with precision to ensure optimal network performance.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to build and maintain network infrastructure.
• Conduct testing using voltmeters and other equipment to verify connectivity and performance.
• Collaborate with team members to install low voltage systems, including Ethernet connections.
• Troubleshoot issues related to WAN connectivity and resolve them in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on tasks.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site.
• Requirements
• Proven experience in fiber splicing and knowledge of network infrastructure.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as voltmeters.
• Familiarity with low voltage systems, Ethernet technologies, and WAN configurations is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing technologies in the field.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $30.00 - $42.00 per hour

• Nights as needed
• On call

• Fiber splicing : 5 years (Required)
• Network infrastructure : 5 years (Required)
• Telecommunication : 5 years (Required)

Ability to Commute :

• Kenosha, WI 53141 (Required)

Ability to Relocate :

• Kenosha, WI 53141 : Relocate before starting work (Required)

Willingness to travel :

• 25% (Preferred)
