An X-ray Tech serves an important purpose in a radiology department. The main role is to assist radiologists with the process of imaging, and not that of diagnosis as this is the key role of a physician. X-ray tech job description involves taking pictures of the body while utilizing various imaging methods. They are responsible for ensuring the patient's safety during the procedure. Technicians may be required to explain the procedure in layman terms to ensure a patient's comfort. Qualifications :
May be trained in accredited program, must be ARRT certified, and have a SC license for certain modalities.

Licenses and Certification :
Registered with the ARRT
SC state license, SCRQSA
Work Experience :
Minimum / Preferred- One (1) year experience
