Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Engineer to support enterprise data center networks, infrastructure design, and operational stability. This role is highly data-center focused, involving network consolidations, infrastructure optimization, and hands-on administration of switches, routers, firewalls, and connectivity solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain modern network environments within large-scale data centers.
Key Responsibilities Data Center Network Engineering
Install, configure, and optimize data center network hardware, software, and communication links.
Administer and maintain data center switches, routers, firewalls, and supporting infrastructure.
Support and troubleshoot enterprise network technologies, systems, and services.
Monitor for network outages, performance issues, and connectivity failures.
Design & Architecture
Design branch and data center network infrastructures, including diagrams, documentation, and end-to-end implementation.
Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate new or upgraded technologies.
Participate in data center consolidation and migration initiatives.
Operations & Support
Maintain configuration and version control of network devices.
Coordinate and troubleshoot circuit outages with telecom vendors.
Participate in 24 / 7 on-call rotation and assist during critical network events.
Provide mentorship and technical development for junior engineers.
Required Skills & Experience
7 10 years of experience supporting large-scale Cisco networks.
Strong expertise in :
Routing protocols : TCP / IP, BGP, OSPF, VRFs, VXLAN, EVPN, GRE
SD-WAN solutions
Cisco Nexus 9K, Catalyst, ISR, ASR devices
Switches, Access Points, and MX devices
Advanced experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls.
Experience with F5 load balancers .
Experience with Azure VNETs and hybrid cloud connectivity.
Ability to design and diagram network infrastructure solutions.
Proven success in hands-on data center network engineering roles.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Experience with Cisco ACI .
Strong understanding of data center best practices, redundancy models, and performance optimization.
Soft Skills
Strong documentation and communication capabilities.
Ability to work onsite and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to mentor and grow team members' technical expertise.
Pay Range
$55.00 $62.00 per hour , depending on :
