Responsibilities
The Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) will serve as an integral member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, delivering comprehensive and compassionate care to patients, families, and caregivers. This role centers on palliative care management, aiming to enhance the quality of life for individuals facing serious, chronic, or life-threatening illnesses. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will coordinate patient care in both the inpatient and outpatient setting to foster effective communication, coordinate care, and collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
Preferred minimum of 1 year of current clinical experience
Must have completed a certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program with a preference for specialization in Palliative or Hospice care
Must have updated Maryland license : Maryland PA License or Maryland NP Certification
Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and interact compassionately with patients, families, physicians, staff, and the public
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
Prove ability to work independently and manage responsibilities autonomously
Maintain a high level of efficiency in clinical workflows, documentation, and task management to support timely, patient-centered care
Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, managing diverse tasks and duties
Demonstrate flexibility, integrity, and a collaborative spirit essential for team-based care
Exhibit excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Handle confidential information with maturity, sensitivity, and discretion
Demonstrate proficiency with electronic medical record system and knowledge using clinical applications
