Welder

Job Description

Maximum Security Products Corp. (MSP) is a Waterford, NY-based Detention Equipment and Miscellaneous Steel contractor and manufacturer. MSP is seeking a skilled welder for shop fabrication of miscellaneous steel / light structural steel to join their team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Secure components together applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage and welding techniques.
• Bolt, clamp and tack-weld parts to secure in position as needed.
• Prepare material for welding by cutting or grinding using pipe cutters, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and / or grinder.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment.
• Reads and understands plans, isometrics, arrangement drawings, details specifications etc.
• Work within company safety rules including OSHA.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor
