Nocturnist Intensivist Physician

Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is seeking a Nocturnist Intensivist Physician to join our critical care team. This full-time, hospital-employed position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients during overnight hours. The Nocturnist Intensivist will oversee ICU admissions, manage acute care issues for existing patients, and collaborate with the Integrated Acute Care team to ensure comprehensive evidence-based care. Provide direct care to patients in the ICU during the night shift

Evaluate, admit, and stabilize critically ill patients

Collaborate with day intensivist team for seamless hand-offs and continuity of care

Work closely with hospitalists, surgeons, emergency medicine, and other departments

Open ICU with 42 beds, Intensivist cover 22-30 beds with the rest reserved for Stroke, Trauma and CT patients

Average of 12-16 patients per shift
