Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) ensures our products are safe, reliable, maintainable, and delivered on time. LCE encompasses various disciplines that support engineering, our program offices, and our customers throughout the entire product life cycle, focusing on product support in Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability.
What You Will Do :
Conduct Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analyses and predictions.
Perform Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) and Fault Detection / Fault Isolation (FDFI) analyses.
Define and allocate RAM requirements.
Assess RAM performance metrics : Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time Between Critical Failure (MTBCF), and Operational Availability (Ao).
Analyze interpreted data and results.
Ensure compliance with performance requirements.
Maintain comprehensive Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD) and system models.
Present findings to internal and external stakeholders during program meetings and Failure Review Boards (FRB).
Conduct FRACAS tasks including trend analysis and failure investigations.
Support proposals by developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for RAM / FRACAS work.
Track Earned Value (EV) and provide accurate status on schedule and budget for RAM / FRACAS scope.
This position is located at Raytheon's Tewksbury facility, which operates onsite.
Qualifications You Must Have :
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. An advanced degree may substitute for additional experience as necessary.
Experience in Reliability, Failure Analysis, and / or Quality Engineering.
Ability to obtain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer :
Familiarity with Reliability and FRACAS Engineering concepts, including knowledge of reliability and maintainability predictions, FMECA / FDFI, RBDs, MTBF / MTBCF, and Ao.
Experience presenting to Failure Review Boards.
Preferred background in Electrical Engineering, including degree / education.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the capacity to analyze and present significant information accurately.
Ability to collaborate effectively across various disciplines.

The salary range for this role is between 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD based on experience levels. RTX considers factors such as the role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education / training, and skills when extending offers. Hired applicants are eligible for various benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and more. Specific benefits depend on the business unit and position classification. Hired applicants may also qualify for annual incentive compensation programs, contingent on performance-related factors. This role is U.S.-based, with applicable compensation and benefits for candidates in U.S. territories.
