Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med / Surg Tele RN with a TN or compact license and proficiency in EKG interpretation for a night shift assignment.

Responsibilities

Work on a Med / Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting

Patient ratios typically 1 : 7-8, may utilize team nursing model for higher ratios

Float to other units as required

Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week, 19 : 00-07 : 30

Uses Cerner EMR and Omnicell medication system

Holiday time off is not permitted during specified holidays and holiday weeks

Any holiday-related time off requests must be discussed with the manager onsite using the facility RTO form

Orientation is offered bi-weekly

May work within a team nursing model depending on staffing needs

Requirements

Active TN or compact RN license required

Must be able to pass EKG testing prior to start

BLS (AHA) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required

ACLS certification preferred
