Our client, a 1,000+ employee machinery manufacturing company, is hiring a Senior HR Generalist to join their on-site team in Grand Rapids, MI! This is an exciting opportunity to work underneath the HR Director and play a strategic and transactional role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the Operations Management team and be the key point of contact for all union-related aspects, supporting 180 union employees. Senior HR Generalist Responsibilities :
- Manage union grievance process and serve as key POC for 180 union employees
- Implement HR policies, programs, and talent management strategies
- Provide guidance on policy, laws and corrective actions
- Oversee employee training programs and manage the Joint Training Committee
- Drive a performance-based culture and support operations management with employee evaluations and ongoing training needs
- Ensure adherence to federal, state and local employment laws
- Manage statewide grants for employee development opportunities
- Handle monthly HR operational reporting and other HR administrative tasks
Senior HR Generalist Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field7+ years of HR experience with 3+ years in a union environmentStrong problem-solving, analytical thinking and organizational skills.
