The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview

The Advanced Practice Nurse, APN, may be required to rotate between the Employee Health and Wellness clinics, although the main location will be based from Newark Beth Israel and Jersey City Medical Center.

With advanced clinical expertise, the APN performs pre-placement physicals, fitness for duty evaluations, return-to-work health evaluations, work-related injuries, and medical clearances of existing employees and potential new hires in accordance to the departments policies, procedures and protocols.

The APN also evaluates employees medical surveillance, health screenings and for-cause substance testing.

The APN performs many of these same services for external clients as well.

Qualifications

• At least 3yrs of experience. (with occupational background, is preferred).
• Licensure as an Advanced Practical Nurse required;
• Master's degree in Family Nurse Practitioner, preferred,
• Board certification requirements via AANP or ANCC.
• A minimum of three years of direct hands-on experience working in occupational / employee health, primary care and / or urgent care settings,
• Department of Transportation ,DOT, Certification preferred, without DOT certification, must be obtained within 4 months of employment,
• BLS-CPR and ACLS Certification
• CDS and DEA
