As a Security Officer - Unarmed Healthcare Patrols in Towson, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring and patrolling designated areas, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service to staff, patients, and visitors. What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the healthcare location's needs.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions or information as needed, maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas as required by site policies.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and / or law enforcement as situations arise.
  • Complete detailed written reports and / or logs regarding incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.

  • Minimum Requirements :

  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
